The goal of the JHS Industrial Technology department is to provide students with an education and training in various fields, including Drafting and Engineering, Welding Technology, Graphic Arts, Manufacturing Technology, Small Engine Repair, Automotive Technology, and Diesel Technology.

Welding Technology I

This year- long course is designed to prepare students with entry-level skills for the welding and fabricating industry. Areas of training include: GTAW- Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, GMAW – Gas Metal Arc Welding, Welding in the Flat, Vertical, Horizontal, and Overhead Positions, Plasma cutting and Advanced Sheet Metal work.

Welding Technology II

This year long course is designed to develop more advanced skills in the field of welding, which will prepare students for a career in the field of welding or for more advanced training. Areas of training include: Advanced GTAW Operations – Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, Advanced GMAW Operation – Gas Metal Arc Welding, Welding in the Flat, Vertical, Horizontal and Overhead positions, Fabrications and Design.
